Louise caught the writing bug from a grade two creative writing class where she wrote about such things as chocolate farms, talking fish, and flying cupids. Since then she has focused her  career in both the publishing and communications fields working in the private and public sectors, through communication networks and as a freelancer. She has written multiple editorial, ad copy, articles, content and products as a staff writer and as communications advisor and has been published in many magazines and newspapers, both online and in print.

During her career in publishing she branched out to create the first marshmallow making company in Atlantic Canada, Sweet Things Marshmallows, and became the author of Homemade Marshmallows, How to Make Gourmet Marshmallows at Home.
